Our Fibers

Sea Island cotton is the rarest cotton on earth, accounting for a fraction of a single percent of global cotton production. Grown in limited quantities in select climates, its staple length can reach up to 50mm (nearly double that of standard cotton), producing a yarn of exceptional fineness, strength, and a distinctive silky lustre. We reserve it for our most refined pieces, Grand Egoist: the epitome of our collection, where hand-feel and exclusivity are the entire point.

Linen is spun from the flax plant, and it earns its place in the bath through sheer performance: flax fibers are significantly stronger than cotton fibers, absorb a substantial share of their own weight in moisture, and dry noticeably faster than most alternatives. It also carries a natural, slightly irregular texture that reads as effortless, lived-in luxury: distinctive and exclusive, the opposite of anything synthetic.

Lyocell is a fiber made from sustainably sourced wood pulp, spun through a closed-loop process that recovers and reuses over 99% of its solvent: one of the most responsible fiber-production methods available today. Beyond its lower environmental footprint, Lyocell brings something specific to textiles: exceptional absorbency, outstanding sheen and a cool, smooth hand-feel.

Fine wool's natural lanolin content makes it inherently moisture-resistant, while its fiber structure allows it to stay warm underfoot even in a damp environment. Naturally resilient and slow to compress, it holds its shape and texture through years of daily footsteps, not just seasons. We use fine wool selectively, in pieces designed to bring warmth to the coldest surfaces in the home, and structural resilience to the rug itself.
